It shall forever be your shadow.
Always by your side,
Listening to every breath you breath.
Watching every step you make,
Making sure that you never fall down.
Always by your side,
To fight away your demons.
And to hold the trophy that you dear
But somehow,
They are all in vain.
Maybe its time this shadow becomes real.

Falling Short
Falling short of a miracle,
The world fails to heal itself.
Falling short of a voice,
The world falls into turmoil
Falling short of ties,
Men start to kill each other.
Falling short on words,
This cannot be continued
The world fails to heal itself.
Falling short of a voice,
The world falls into turmoil
Falling short of ties,
Men start to kill each other.
Falling short on words,
This cannot be continued

Going Back To College
Today is the first day of my third semester in college, and I'd have to say that the build up to this moment was nothing but exciting.
I started the day by waking up at around 7 A.M. and quite surprisingly, I did so without an ounce of a fuss. Furthermore, I did have good nights sleep last night. So I think that may have contributed to my fussless wake up. After getting up, I hurriedly got dressed and believe it or not, I actually completed taking my bath in under 10 minutes, a feat which I would have normally taken anywhere between 15-20 minutes. Breakfast too didn't seem to take ages. So, I got my stuff ready and went of to college.
Upon reaching the college, I found myself walking through unfamiliar gates....duh... They had repositioned the main entrance by quite a substantial distance to the right of the previous entrance. What did I expect? Barge through the old gates? All this done to make way for our college's expansion. But honestly, the was an aura of difference about college. It seemed more packed and I felt very relaxed. Too relaxed.
When I got to the concourse, I saw a few familiar faces. I saw Sigmund and gang near the reception office. I said hello and talked an ounce with them. Soon, Cathy and Yu Jun came and we said hello also. But, me being me, I quickly hurried off to class. The first lesson was calculus 2 with good old Ms Shanta. My timetable said that it was to be held at room 305. So, I climbed up the stairs to the third floor. And thats when I saw Justin. I had not seen him for quite some time. So, we greeted each other and I asked him what class did he have. He said he has calculus 1 which was to be held at room 305. I looked at ihm and asked him if he was sure, because my timetable said that Calculus 2 was going to be at room 305. So, he went in and asked the occupants in the class and they confirmed that my timetable was wrong.Great! Just great. Now I'd have to walk around every floor knocking on every door to confirm where my lessons was going to be held. But fortunately, my sleeping brain cells saved me the hard work and possible blushes when they woke up and told me to go down the stairs and ask Teng Choon which class that we were supposed to go to. I climbed down again and asked him. He told me that it was in room 306. Hmm...looks like the printer screwed up! o, we went up only to find a class full of people. Something that I did not look forward too as I wanted to get the front row. I went in, and the first thing I did was say good morning rather loudly to Ms. Shanta. And rthen , I walked over to a few people whom I had not met in a long time and gave them the good old handshake, modern style and proceeded to sit beside Fazlan which was right at the back. But we later shifted to the front when Ms Shanta started lecturing. Calculus class was fun. Afterall, our lecturer is Ms Shanta and I don't really see how she can make math a boring subject.
After calculus, I went back home as I had nothing left to do in college and my other friends had lessons. My next class was American History which was at 12. So, I went home, had lunch and walked back to college.
I reached class at around 11.55. I walked in, said a few hello's and took a seat. Then our lecturer walked in. His name is Dr. William George Borges. He is an American with a little bit of British blood who was born in Los Angeles and whos brothers name is George William Borges. Insane right. Yes, I am having an American for a lecturer and he is one hell of a fantastic dude. Yes, he may have his strict standards for late comers, but he had an impeccable command of English and an insane knowledge in History and philosophy. I found that out by having a friendly arguement on wether or not god is real, should christians accept the blood of a non christian and to whom does Ameica really belong to. Of course, another dude by the name of Eugene gave his own views which were funny but highly pointless. And I did belive that he spoke like the older version of Jack Black! But like I said, he is amazing.
Halfway through the class, we lost power. So he let us off early. Then, I got home and did my stuff and now here I am teallin you about my day.
Well, I guess I have to end it here. I need to go and read about The American Reconstruction.

Silent Scream
Everytime I think of you,
I can't help but feel guilty.
I don't understand why
But this is just how I feel.
Perhaps it would be much better,
If I just stopped thinking of you.
Perhaps it would be much better,
If I just erased you from my memory.
Forgetting all that has happened,
Between you and me.
But I know I can't.
I just cannot do it.
Like a black widow,
You trap me in a web.
The more I try to free myself,
The more trapped I become.
But instead of dreading this web,
I enjoy being trapped.
Sometimes I want to love you.
Sometimes I want to hate you.
Sometimes I just want to go back to the beginning,
And start all over again.
Maybe, maybe I would have seen.
Maybe I would have noticed.
And maybe I would have said it.
And maybe I would have done it.
But now, I look for my gun.
And I look for my antidote.
As I silently clutch my cure,
My mind contemplates its actions.
I scream a silent scream.
Suddenly a flash of white light blinds me.
Like an erupting volcano,
Your voice pounds my ear.
And like an angel,
You grab my hand,
And pull me out of this pit,
That I so desprately want to fall into.
You saved me.
You saved me from myself.
And as I fall into your embrace,
I begin to realise why I love you.
I can't help but feel guilty.
I don't understand why
But this is just how I feel.
Perhaps it would be much better,
If I just stopped thinking of you.
Perhaps it would be much better,

My 2006 and How It wENT
The weather outside looks rather gloomy. The rain is pouring and streaks of lightning flash across the vast and cloudy skies displaying its might and warning all those who dare oppose it. The deafening roars of thunders bring meaning to the showy display of the lightning. Both work in breathtaking unison and in perfect harmony. All I can do is watch in awe as one of nature’s most stunning but frequently overlooked displays, of raw energy unfolds before my very eyes. But, that isn’t the case that needs examining and careful scrutinizing for this entry. But, perhaps it will somehow help explain what I am about to say in the following paragraphs.
Today marks the first day of the year 2007. A year signals the coming of a better dawn for humanity and nature alike. A year that promises to bring man one step closer to peace and prosperity and greater economic prowess and even more unprecedented success. Of course, the coming of a better dawn, just like those before it will bring upon the human kind a few unappreciated low points. But then again, since when did man ever chance upon the perfect deal? Or what sailor has not been at the mercy of the fury of the towering waves while embarking on his journeys across the seven seas?
But before we look to the future and what it has to offer us, I do believe that it is only appropriate that we take a moment to savor and to analyze the play that has taken place in 2006. Therefore, here is my summary and rough analysis of my 2006.
The Early Part (January- March)
The beginning of the year was one of the most perfect beginnings that I could ever wish for. It was when I received my very first thousand dollar pay. Of course, the thought alone made me jump in my sleep. Jon and I had managed to get a job as hosts at an internationally renowned American Corporation that deals with the handling and execution of exquisite western culinary and which brand is synonymous with excellent customer care and service. And our job as hosts required us to pour our blood, sweat and tears to make sure that we make whoever who does business with this culinary company to feel like royalty. Of course, as any journey would be, the most difficult would be the start. But gradually, as the days and weeks past, we became masters at our job and sometimes surpassing the bar set by those who had worked longer than us. It was while working at TGI Fridays that I really got a taste for what the real world would look like. We had all kinds of people there. Right from the good, the bad and the downright ugly. Due to professional and ethical reasons, I shall not name names nor shall I point fingers. But through it all, I must say, regardless of whom it was, that it has indeed been a pleasure working with every single one of them. After all, working with the difficult makes you mentally stronger. Furthermore, my people skills have definitely developed at a much higher pace due to my constant contact with customers, fellow colleagues and managers alike.
Well, this pretty much sums up my early part of the year. There were other events, but often of less significance to the main points that I wish to discuss.
The Middle Part (April- August)
The middle part of the year would most definitely has to be one of the better parts of my life. It signaled my transition from a young teenager to a true blue college freshman. It was around May, once I have had quit all my jobs to finally enroll in to college that my year really began to take off. I had enrolled myself into the American University Program at INTI College. It was in college that I had started to form new perspectives about life as a human being and life as an America bound student. Naturally, I made many new friends while studying and studying too was such a joy as compared to the prosaic (boring) life which I had endured in high school. I mean, the lecturers were superb. They were very open minded and most importantly, they knew what they were talking about. Perhaps the best lecturer that I had for my first semester was Mrs. Lim Siow Fei She taught us sociology. And I do have to admit that I was particularly very fond of attending her lessons. She is smart, funny, articulate and witty to the bone. Never have I had a lecturer quite like her.
Also in college, I was getting more active in clubs, especially in Music Club in which I got elected as assistant band manager on my very first semester! Furthermore, it was with the help of Music club that I managed to play my first gig at college with my band when they organized the Talent Night 2006. My band Grandma With Sticks played that evening. We did Hemorrhage and No Cigar.
Apart form that, my studies really took flight. I was getting results that I never imagined that I would get. I always did believe that the American way of learning would always suit me and I even managed to beat all those 10A1 students!
During college and high school, I did have many shot lived crushes. But it was around this time that I started to notice a girl whom I have know for quite some time. At first, I denied it, but I guess stuff like this definitely will get you sooner or later right? No, she is not from my college. That’s one hint for all of you who may be wondering. But, I shall reveal no further. It’s for you to find out.
And by the way, I ended the month by celebrating my birthday with the most beautiful people on earth, my friends and family!!
Nearing the End(September-November)
Well, these months were pretty uneventful save for te arrival of the Arctic Queen, our hugely successful gig, and how I managed to do daage limitation on my calculus paper. Also this was the month that I really fell heels over head for this girl, whom I shall write more deeply about in another post. But of course, don't expect anything to be revealed. But if you are smart enough, you may already see the answer. Its funny how a female can really make a man go crazy. Seriously!
The Final Chapter( November- December)
Finally! This was the month where I visited Egypt. I had fun over there and I do have lots of stories to tell. I did meet many people and learnt many new things. Especially after looking back and experiencing 4000 year old history. The whole experience left me breathless. And also, I managed to see how other people live, especially the poor ones. How they survive the extreme poverty and witnessing their living conditions. Also I got to see how women lived in a male dominated world where kindness to females did not exist. Of course, I do not condone such practice, but what can I do?
But apart from that, that was practically my entire year in a nutshell. I may have forgotten to type out other events, but they are not done deliberately. That I can assure you. Im getting rather tired now, thats why sentences seem laconic and very kurt. I have been working on this since 5pm. But anyways cya'll.
