Fun AT Fridays

Yesterday was a freaking blast!! The day started of rather dull but that was no indication as to how the night would go.
In the morning, I woke up, and did the usual. At about 10, I was listening to this song by AC/DC. it was called You Shook Me All Night Long. I loved it so much that I learnt how to play it on that very day. I even posted it on my blog for god sake! Then, after playing guitar, I had to go to college to go for the Music Club meeting. On the way there, while passing by 2D, I saw a very familiar little white dog. So, I looked harder, and unsurprisingly, it was my dog who had ran away from home for like the fourth time this freaking month! Fortunately she had not been dog napped like how some of the other residents dogs have been. Furthermore, my dog is one hell of a friendly dude who would allow any Tom, Dick or Harry carry or even feed her. So, I would consider herself very lucky to have not been dog napped after spending more than 3 quarters of this month away from home. So after I caught her, I carried her in my arms and took her home. An act which left me with white colored dog fur all over my black shirt. I dusted them out, leashed her and walked toward college again.
But, before going to college, I needed to drop by the post office for the umpteenth time this week to go and once again settle some bills. So I dully walked there thinking that I was going to be super late for the meeting and I would get screwed, only to find that the post office was suffering from a dearth(very few) of customers! Oh well, I can't complain now as it the first time that I had actually walked into a post office which was almost empty. Very un-malaysian. So I grabbed a number, and walked towards the counter to pay my bills. And as usual, the employee at the counter had a very sour face. But then again, that's what you get for working on a Saturday right?
So, after I had paid, I walked over to College and found Mun Yee and Hazwani there. They were speaking in Accounts! The only language that I hate! You Accounts is where somebody keeps speaking about the accounts of some organization, in this case Music Club. They were speaking about profits and losses and all sorts of accounting mumbo jumbo which I clearly wasn't interested in. Ever wondered why I dropped accounts lessons after just two months? So, I looked on and pretended to be interested. After the Accounts filled meeting, Kiu, Chris and I went to play pool at Asia Cafe. I only won 2 matches out of like 4 I guess. Very depressing indeed.
After pool, I got home and got ready for tonight's gathering at TGI Fridays, the place where I used to work and collected 2 WOW Pins from the general Manager for keeping the toilets very clean. Making sure that the urinals had ice cubes and lemon! Yes dudes and dudettes, before they renovated, the toilets at TGI Fridays had no flush. So to compensate for this lack of flush, they used ice cubes to flush out the urine and the lemon to give a fresh smell, and folks, that's how Iced Lemon Pee was invented!
I got ready at around 6 o'clock. Ping Fuan came at about 6.15,this was when he told me about his little biking incident that left him with stitches on his forehead! Fortunately he did not pull the 'Jason Sim' stunt on himself! This stunt was named in the honor of Jason Sim who managed to wreck a car's windshield using only his head and his bike which later landed him in hospital!
But anyways, by 6.45, we all left the house to go to Fridays. William drove Ping Fuan and I there while Jon went with Sara. After parking in the basement, the 6 of us met up at Fridays. When we got there, Chris had already came. So now were 7 people. But we still had to wait for about 5 more people out of which 3 FFK-ed. Yeah, and also, a few people, in true Malaysian glory, were fashionably late. So after we had settled down, we started of with our round of jokes. We were so damn loud that people from the other table were looking at us. I remembered how this lady was looking at our table. But what can I say? Having fun is a must. Furthermore, it was a good thing that Chris, Jon and Ping Fuan came, they were the natural born ice breakers! The rest of us were better at following up, or so to speak. After about half an hour, we ordered our drinks and an appetizer. Pretty late I guess. For when I worked there last time around, a customers order had to be taken within 5 minutes. But then again, this was surely through no fault of the waitress. Half the table which we booked was empty. So it would be much wiser to let everybody come before they take our orders. At around 7.45, Amanda arrived. After she had come in, we placed our orders. But at that point, most of us, myself excluded were already quite full from eating appetizers. But we ordered anyway. While waiting for our food to come, we joked and talked all kinds of crap. I mean, we were super loud. People from all over were looking at our table! Even the hosts and hostesses stole glances at our table. Occasionally, I saw the waiters and waitresses laughing to our jokes. But then again, whats a night out without fun and games and irritating those around you? So we ate, and Chris started taking pictures of all our foods claiming that they looked more appetizing in the picture. Good photography I guess. His actions made us laugh like crazy. My stomach was hurting so bad due to laughing. At this point people were staring at us in droves! At around 8.30, our food finally arrived. I had smothered chicken. But the chicken looked rather scrawny to me. And while eating we were joking about all kinds of bull shit. Once, I even choked on my own food. And while eating we made stupid poses in front of our food for the camera. Man, the pictures were superb. I'll upload them when I get them from Chris or whoever who took them. In between the meals, we were so damn full from appetizers that we had to take 10 minute breaks from eating! I pitied Jon, he couldn't finish his burger. Though there was no alcohol on the table that night, everyone of us looked drunk. Song commented that all of us had gotten high on food! And he suggested that we dance Shakira's Hips Don't Lie to make our food digest faster. And believe it or not we did! Imagine a bunch of teens dancing hips don't lie on their chairs. I tell you that was a bloody good sight! Soon the tables around us started to become empty because the customers around us could not take our noise! We went on that way until 10'o clock I guess. Then dessert came. Desserts were a killer. We were all sharing each others desserts. When the waitress, brought our desserts, we informed her that it was Chris Lam's birthday. Yeah we had two Chris's for the night. Ee and Lam. A couple of minutes later, the waiter came and gave Chris a birthday bash, Frdays style!! I'll get Chris Ee to post the video of this incident on you tube for all of your viewing pleasure!
After the birthday bash, we continued eating our desserts and my dessert got hijacked by Chris Ee and Song Sing who claimed that my Ice Cream went well with their chocolate cakes. But heck, sharing is caring right? After 10.30, slowly one by one excused themselves to go back home. At around 11, only 5 people out of the original 9 were left at the table. Even so, we were still loud! I managed to drop my knife and two broccoli's on the floor while laughing! Then, William and I left at around 11, leaving Jon, Amanda and Song at the table. As I was walking out, I met many of my old colleagues. I spoke to them for a while. And guess who I met? Mr.Aidee, my ex boss and the most perverted of all bosses! And who can't even tie his tie! Yeah, I spoke to him and he even asked how come you guys were loud and are staying here so long? I just smiled at him and said that we were having fun. After that, William sent me home. We had spent 4 hours crapping around at TGI Fridays!! Now that was awesome. I guess we should all do this again!! I was crazy I tell you!
A perfect way to cap up the year. Goodbye 2006. I shall miss you!

You Shook Me All Night Long

She was a fast machine She kept her motor clean She was the best damn woman I had ever seen She had the sightless eyes Telling me no lies Knockin' me out with those American thighs Taking more than her share Had me fighting for air She told me to come but I was already there 'Cause the walls start shaking The earth was quaking My mind was aching And we were making it and you - CHORUS: Shook me all night long Yeah you shook me all night long Working double time On the seduction line She was one of a kind, she's just mine all mine She wanted no applause Just another course Made a meal out of me and came back for more Had to cool me down To take another round Now I'm back in the ring to take another swing 'Cause the walls were shaking The earth was quaking My mind was aching And we were making it and you - CHORUS And knocked me out and then you Shook me all night long You had me shakin' and you Shook me all night long Yeah you shook me Well you took me You reall took me and you Shook me all night long Ooooh you Shook me all night long Yeah, yeah, you Shook me all night long Your really took me and you Yeah you shook me, yeah you shook me All night long

When She Speaks

She melts me with her words,
So serene it makes me dream.
Her words sing me to sleep every night,
Never failing to echo their way into my dreams,
She makes them as sweet as candy.
Like a battery charger,
Her words charge me up.
I makes my day more bearable,
And makes me want to open my eyes everyday.
For all that you have said to me,
They could have never been said in a better way.
For they are perfect in every way.
Even my ears beg for more.
Thank you

When Boredom Attacks, Stupidty Comes In.

Last night, I was able to do what I had not been able to do for quite along time. I had the liberty of actually driving my mothers car at speed unimpeded by factors such as errant road users save for one which I nearly crashed into, the roads were fairly empty thus giving me room to drag and most importantly I wasn't feeling very good, and that need to release some amount of frustration allowed me to put the pedal where it matters most.
You see, these past few days have been more of a mundane daily routine of waking up, staring at 3 different screens for hours on end, banking chores and of course a measly half an hour or so of pool with Leong. Not to mention that I was feeling something that I really don't know what to make of or how to put into words. If I could I would, but obviously I can't. I wouldn't say that I was frustrated or angry or whatever it is that causes one to have the desire of letting go of excess steam. I was like a pressure cooker but I didn't know what it is that was causing the of build-up of unwanted pressure. In short, I wasn't feeling it.
Tuesday was okay I guess, I spent the morning blogging about Christmas, which led to a small misunderstanding, but fortunately I got that settled and its now in the bin. Then I watched T.V, had lunch, and I went on to practice guitar for about two hours. Guitar playing that day was not as enjoyable as days of past. It just didn't sound right. Something was missing and I frequently caught myself playing alter bridge riffs and songs for god knows how long. I kept down tuning my guitar to B so that I could play Broken Wings, a song that I have been feverishly playing over the past few weeks. Its music and words connect so deeply that sometimes I feel like I'm Mark Tremonti minus the super fast solo's. But anyways, after I had played guitar, I went on to watch some television. I really forgot what I had watched but, whatever it was, wasn't interested. So, I got back to my laptop and did what I would normally do, only this time, it wasn't as interesting. But, I was well enough to blog. Deep inside, I was rambling, which of course explains the entry title, Ramblings. Then, someone passed on an unfounded judgement based on my metaphorical ways and difference in lenghts of my entries. Of course, I did not find it very funny nor amusing. So, I posted another entry to tell people not to come up with conclusions of their own without asking me first. Well, after that I continued staring at the computer screen. I replied Ashlea's e mails. I sent her more pictures and stuff like that. Well, that was about if for my Tuesday. But throughout the day, I only had one thing in my mind. And of course, no prizes for guessing what it was.
Then, Wednesday was slightly more interesting. I got to step out of the house to actually go and do something. Well, as usual, I spent my time blogging in the morning. Then, me and Leong went to go and play pool. We were supposed to be joined by Sara and her friend Pui Yan, but due to unfortunate circumstances, they were unable to join us. Oh well, there goes my rematch. Bu anyways, the two of us played pool and for the first time I trashed Leong in pool. 3-1 was the exact score. But honestly, pool did not feel very good that day. I was just shooting balls for the sake of shooting balls. I just had no mood to do anything. Seriously. I was just forcing myself. After pool, we went to Subang Parade for reasons that we didn't even know why. We walked around for a while then we went back home. When I went back home, I just sat on the floor beside my dog and started stroking it. It was the longest time that I had ever stroked my dog. Little did I know that she would run away again that very night. And that of course was my day. But once again, I couldn't focus. I was deep in thought the entire day.
Well, Thursday was pretty much the same as Tuesday. Computer, Bank, post office, Icls,TV, Computer. Damn I was lifeless. That's why I'm really looking forward to college. But at night, I had some self made fun. As I was on the computer, my bro asked me to fetch him to the studio which I reluctantly did. I had left my computer on and signed into MSN. Which would explain why you saw me online last night. After I had dropped him off, I looked at the roads. There were no cars. They looked very inviting. Furthermore, it had been quite a while since I had actually been able to actually drive my mothers car at the speeds which I felt comfortable with. Secondly, I hadn't been able to do much exploring with it. Moreover, I did need some time alone and needed to let some steam go. So what more was I waiting for. With a V6 under my hood and no passengers to worry about, I did what I loved most, trash the car.
After speeding through SS18, I turned in to SS14 where once again, I drove dangerously fast through narrow streets. Fortunately, I had not rammed into anyone or anything. As I pushed further I passed my secondary school, then turned into my primary school lane. Then I passed by Mamak Bistro. The road was a little to narrow for my liking, so I had to slow down to the curious gazers of the patrons. I quickly turned out and headed for the exit closest to the entrance of the high speed stretch from the traffic light to the end of SS14. The moment I reached the exit, I stepped on the pedal and pushed my car to about 100 I guess. I drove with one hand, an action that even professional race car drivers will tell you not to do, especially with a well handing car travelling at good speeds. But what the heck. If I needed to let go of some steam, it had to be now and why not do it in style? Which I would later regard as stupidity to the core. I wasn't able to push any further because, my cars weight and aerodynamic capability limited its top speed. But I had fun anyways. So after my little joy ride, I decided to return home. So if anyone heard or saw a speeding Naza last night at SS14, it was me! This was when I nearly crashed into an idiot who had no regard for the traffic laws. It was okay to speed but not to turn without looking. Fortunately, I saw him and braked in the nick of time to avoid crashing my front end into his car. It was a white Kancil by the way.
With that I returned home, and then went to bed.
And that was how I spent my last three days. Boring I know.

Shimmer

This song is called Shimmer. It is by fuel. This song was voted as one of the best rock songs ever to be penned and is also the song that launched the Pensylvannian Rockers into the mainstream industry. A testamennt to the only band that I love to death. Notice how good they are live as compared to many other bands. The vocalist, Brett Scallions can actually sing!

Fill Me Up

i just had to let you know
cuz i don't always let it show
and even if I did show it to you,
you never seem to notice.
you give me needed room to grow
and i just had to tell you so

you fill me up,
you're in my veins
a look could take my breath away
and all these things, you give away
sometimes i take for granted
you fill me up
You're in my blood
your voice could chase my fears away
For all you say and all you do
always hits me in my heart
you fill me up
you're in my eyes
they never seem to close on you
For all it sees and all it dreams
i wish they never go away

it's just like poetry inside,
to hear you breathing by my side
like i'm in heaven and i have died
so glad you're with me for this
I remember how you looked into my eyes,
when you saw it there by me
but yet i shoved it to my back
and now I regret all I did

you fill me up,
you're in my veins
a look could take my breath away
and all these things, you give away
sometimes i take for granted
you fill me up
You're in my blood
your voice could chase my fears away
For all you say and all you do
always hits me in my heart
you fill me up
you're in my eyes
they never seem to close on you
For all it sees and all it dreams
i wish they never go away

i see your face to start my day
makes all my bad dreams go away
and all the stupid games we play
wouldn't have it any other way

you fill me up,
you're in my veins
a look could take my breath away
and all these things, you give away
sometimes i take for granted
you fill me up
You're in my blood
your voice could chase my fears away
For all you say and all you do
always hits me in my heart
you fill me up
you're in my eyes
they never seem to close on you
For all it sees and all it dreams
i wish they never go away

Come on people, be analytical.

Due to a recent spate of unsightful comments, I would like to advice whoever the reader may be not to assume and come up with false conclusions about the writings and metaphores that are writen here in this blog. They are more complex then what meets the eye. If you really are desperate to know, do yourself a kind favour and ask me first before you assume or even spread words about it. For spreading untrue words is as nefarious as stabbing one in the back.
