Higher Tone Addiction

Music has been taking a center stage in my life lately, and I like it. It's something that I really can't explain. If there's one world that I enjoy immersing myself in, music has to be a really big part of it. Whether I'm making, or simply just listening to it, I feel right at home with it. It's what's keeping me awake right now in spite of my coming responsibilities. It's my cocaine, heroine, and ecstasy. The constant search for that perfect tune, the constant search for that perfect high. Nothing gets better than the next one. Maybe that's why I'm so disconnected from the outside world. I've always got something playing in my head. More than enough to drown out the voices of the people around me.

Now you know why I've got so little to say all the time. Now you know why I'm never there even though I physically am. Now you know the reasons for my varied expressions. Now you know why my mouth moves, my hands strums, and my head bangs eventhough there is no sound. It's because I've got a louder voice in my head that implores me to listen and act everytime it plays. A louder voice that implores me to search for that perfect high. It really is an addiction. An addiction that I don't know whether or not to look for a cure.

Happy Mer-Dead-Cow.

Night

Ever get that feeling where you have so much to say, but you don't know where to start, so you end up not saying them after all? Well, I'm feeling that right now.

Just yesterday, I got elected president to a club I don't really care much about. In fact, during the whole time, I had my pillow in front of me, resting my head on top of the table, randomly bashing everyone with my usual colorful language. I love colorful language. And yes, one thing led to another, and now I'm the president. But since I already am, I might as well try to do a good job, and get the club rolling.

Then I finally got my guitar back from Ramon. I left it with him over the summer. The strings are rusted, and the only reason I can't change them is because the strings I ordered form Musician's Friend on the 20th of August has still not arrived. Speaking of guitars, I placed an order for a Les Paul this afternoon. And like I said before, I'm not going to get it until mid November.

I think I'm going to go o sleep now. I have absolutely nothing to do. I just came back from dinner.

Another pointless post.

One Death On Verge

If this is what peace feels like, then I'm ready to accept heaven for what it's worth. Maybe even hell, not that I could care less. But a place to sleep at night would be nice. It's all I want. It's all I will ever need. But through it all, I've been branded a liar simply because I've shown a lack of favorable expression towards what others would consider a need.

Maybe this is where stars are born. Dissidents of their time. Rebels with a cause. A need for an ear. Just one pair. A voice for an alternative generation. A generation nonetheless.

Where's mine?

Maybe it lies at the bottom of a pizza box.

Maybe that's where I should look.

Or maybe I should just sleep.

Dad, why are they fighting?
It's when communications between men breakdown.
But can't they fix it?
Men will be men. Animals as they are. Life as it should and as it is.

Just sleep.

DIE!!!!

Somebody is going to DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE AND JUST DIE!!!!!!!! I'm gonna whack them up so badly that, well, they're gonna dieeeeeeeee!!!! Grrr...

*Points at the picture while clenching a pitch fork and a chainsaw!*

Which stupid clown decided not to produce one of these until November??

Update: I just spoke to one of the representatives at Musicians friend, and he said that there's no way that I can get it before November. I guess I'll just have to wait =( Either that, or I'll have to call Gibson directly...

White Beauty

Peaceful mornings to eat my breakfast in. No longer do I have to rush anywhere. Just chill. For now at least.

So far it's been good. It's cool meeting up with some of my mates, and of course, the band mate. Can't help but feel like I'm in one of those UG stories. But hey, what the heck right? At least it gives me momentum to go and get my Les Paul. They say the more you think about it, and the more you want it, it just might come to you. It's the law of attraction. =D

Oh yeah, guess what I found witting around at the back at Walmart??? FOSTERS!!!!! A damn big can too, and of course, a good ol'6 pack for me mates and I. And since I'm officially legal, *hehehe rubs hands together* I see a bright future of riffing, soloing and airplanes. Seriously!

Evenflow, thoughts arrive like butterflies.
He don't know, so he chases them away.
Someday yet, he'll begin his life again.

Back

So this is what it feels to be back in Daytona. Nothing special in particular. In fact, as we were driving by campus, all that went through my mind was "Business as usual." In fact, right now, I feel like I've been here forever, and I'm just waiting for the next day. Don't ask me why though. I still can't explain it. But whatever it is, I know that it's a good thing.

Oh, I very nearly became an illegal immigrant today. I misplaced my passport. And I didn't just misplace it anywhere. I left it on the shuttle that transported me from Orlando to Daytona. Genius right? I went searching like hell, retracing my steps a couple of times but, for hours, I still couldn't find it. Thankfully the shuttle company called me up and said that they had found my pouch. I went to their office, collected it, and gave them a tip. That definitely saved me hundreds of dollars, time, a truck load of trouble, and a definite trip down to New York to get everything in order.

Flying here was not too bad really. Though I did sleep for most of the two flights, I actually had fun on the first two flights. Korean air really surpassed my expectations. The food was good, the seats are comfortable, and the crew were very friendly and professional. Oh, and I think that I'm tall enough to date their stewardess. Seriously. =P Immigration was a bitch though. There were at least 100 students lined up at Dallas airport, but only 2 counters were open. It took me more than an hour after deplaning to collect my baggage and check them into my American Airlines flight. Oh, and that flight was rubbish too. About 15 minutes after boarding the plane, the pilot asked us to deplane because there was a problem with the right landing gear. We had to deplane, take a train and go all the way to a different gate to board our flight. At that moment, I was completely tired, so the whole episode naturally annoyed me. All I wanted to do at that time was to just get back to Daytona, take a shower and crash. Daytona at that moment in time, felt like heaven. And the moment that plane took-off, and started climbing to cruising altitude, I thought that we were going to crash. The whole cabin was shaking and vibrating. I've flown on MD-80's a few times before, but never have I seen such shaking!

But anyways, here I am, just chilling out, wondering what to do next. I went shopping with my room mate and his friend this morning. And now, though it is only 6.45 in the evening, all I want to do is sleep. No, I'm not jet lagged. I'm just bored.

Tomorrow though, will be a different story =D
