Common Sense

It is said that common sense is a tool in which everybody, young or old, big or small should poses. But surprisingly, even though this has been drilled into everybodys head by every possible means and methods, common sense is no longer common. In fact, this situation has indeed lead to deduce that common sense is only granted to a privileged few. The elite few, as I would love to call these privileged few.
This is because, reasoning with very good points of argument just doesn't work most of the time and very often people who reason very well over an issue or a dispute are ostracized by society. They will then be branded with extremely unkind words. Therefore making it seem that intelligence is no longer valued. A more universal thought is preferred instead.
Second, people these days just don't put enough thought into whatever they do these days. Many still believe that as long as an action is convenient for them, it has to be what is best for everyone around them. And that is why, even with the availability of very good education standards, we still see so many people performing the most ridiculous of actions while causing all sorts of problems for everyone around them. The best part is, when these people are confronted, they will tell you off instead. Pure genius.
